Sunset Camel Trek Itinerary
The Merzouga sunset camel trek departs around 5:30 PM. Start your adventure with a camel ride for approximately 30 minutes to reach the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Once you have arrived you can walk around and climb the highest of the dunes, where you will have panoramic views of the Sahara desert. Alternatively, if you’d like to take it easy, you can stop near the camel “parking” area to watch the sunset.
During your trek, you will stop at a small desert garden to learn about the canal system that sustains life in the desert. After watching the sunset and taking in the sights, you will return to the village before it gets dark.
